Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 2026
Belle treats accessibility as part of the service itself, not as an addition to it. We work so that every person - with or without a disability - can book a treatment, choose a professional and manage their appointments independently, fully and equally.
This statement covers Belle's website, our mobile app, and the service delivered in the customer's home.
1. Our commitment
We act in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.
Accessibility is not a one-off project here: every interface change is checked against the same rules before it ships, and some of those checks run automatically on every code change.
2. Accessibility level of the website and app
The website and app are built to conform to Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA, which adopts the W3C's WCAG 2.0 guidelines. Among other things:
- The entire website and app can be operated with a keyboard alone, without a mouse.
- Screens are adapted for screen readers - VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android, and NVDA or JAWS in the browser.
- The contrast ratio of body text against its background is at least 4.5:1.
- Text can be enlarged up to 200% without losing content or functionality.
- Every screen renders correctly right-to-left in Hebrew, including forms, dates and numbers.
- When the operating system asks for reduced motion, animations stop.
3. How to use the adjustments
No special software is needed. The adjustments work with the tools already on your device:
- Keyboard: Tab moves between controls, Shift+Tab moves back, and Enter or Space activates. At the top of every page a "skip to main content" link appears on the first Tab press.
- Screen reader: turn on your device's screen reader as usual. Every button, form and message is announced.
- Enlarging text: use your browser's zoom (Ctrl or Cmd with +) or your device's text size setting.
4. Accessibility of the service at your home
Belle's service is delivered in the customer's home, so the adjustments are not only on screen:
- You can state an accessibility need in advance when booking or by contacting us, and we pass it to the professional before she arrives.
- You can reach us by phone, text message or email - whichever suits you.
- The presence of a companion, a sign-language interpreter or a guide dog is taken for granted and needs no advance approval.
5. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts may not yet be fully accessible. We would rather say so plainly:
- Third-party components - maps and the payment interface - are not fully under our control, and we are working with those suppliers to improve them.
- Content uploaded by professionals to their portfolios (images and videos) may not carry a full text description.
6. Accessibility coordinator and contacting us
Ran into a problem, have a request, or a suggestion? We would like to hear it. You can contact our accessibility coordinator directly:
